Atrium is seeking on behalf of our client a Senior Accountant based in Atlanta, GA. A background check may be run only after a conditional offer is made, where permitted by law.Position OverviewThe Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing key accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting compliance with internal controls. This role will collaborate closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and maintain financial integrity. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completenessPrepare month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAPAssist with budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planningConduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal controls and company policiesAssist with tax preparation and filing to meet regulatory requirementsCollaborate with internal and external auditors as needed to support audit processesSupport other finance team members with ad-hoc projects and tasks as assignedRequired Experience/SkillsMinimum of 5 years of general ledger accounting experienceERP system experience in SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, or PeopleSoftExperience reconciling bank statements and balance sheetsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Experience/SkillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially ExcelStrong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently or in a team settingStrong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaborationAbility to identify process improvements and implement best practicesEducation RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCPA certification or progress toward CPA preferredContinuing education in accounting standards and regulations is a plusBenefitsIf eligible under the ACA, medical, dental and vision benefits and time off in accordance with local paid sick time laws will be offered.
