Eastern Express, one of our five companies and one of the most experienced flatbed trucking companies in the United States, is looking for a highly motivated, career-minded individual to join our growing operation in Lorain, OH as a full-time, on-site Dispatch/Data Entry Trainee. Qualifications & Interpersonal Skills Associate or bachelor's degree (preferred), high school diploma, or GED 12 years of business experience strongly preferred Enjoy interacting with and assisting others Take pride in and ownership of your work; willing to "roll up your sleeves" Strong communicator (in person, phone, email) Self-driven, comfortable in fast-paced environment Problem-solving and creative thinking abilities Strong follow-up so nothing "falls through the cracks" Enjoy learning / lifelong learner Organized Able to manage priorities and stay calm under pressure Able to multi-task without losing details Positive attitude and friendly demeanor Initial Sample Tasks & Responsibilities Answer inbound calls from truck drivers professionally and route to correct office staff Master accurate data entry of customer loads Maintain accurate records and documentation related to dispatch activities Eventual Sample Tasks & Responsibilities Scheduling and dispatching truck drivers Monitoring and tracking shipments for safe, on-time delivery Communicating with drivers, customers, and stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues Work Schedule & Benefits MondayFriday, 8:00 AM5:00 PM (on-site in Lorain, OH) Performance-based bonus plan Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) with company match Vacation and holiday pay Paid parental leave Physical Demands Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment.
