The Event Travel division supports both the Events and Business Travel Departments, managing US and global travel logistics for groups of 10 – 4,000+ passengers.This varied role requires a team player with excellent relationship, communication and commercial skills, who will develop industry leading relationships. The successful candidate will ideally have a proven track record in booking group travel logistics, driving income levels into the business at every opportunity as well as possessing strong attention to detail and organizational skills and be able to demonstrate value to both clients and suppliers.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a primary client liaison of the Event Travel Department, you will further the vision and goals of R&M by providing outstanding support across the US. Work under an Event Travel Project Manager on a range of event travel projects to ensure client service satisfaction, perform to agreed client service level agreements, ensure successful project delivery on time and on budget and achieve pre-agreed event profitability targetsCreate group and individual reservations and accurately input data into internal software Systems Negotiate best fares with suppliers as well as flexible terms and conditionsResearch fares by following the R&M benchmarking strategyExcellent and strong multi-tasker who works well under pressure and can easily deal with short lead requests within SLASeek cost effective solutions in line with client objectivesDemonstrate our ‘value proposition’ to clients through hard cost savings and soft cost benefitsMaintain client focus at all times and demonstrate excellent service levelsAttend face to face internal meetings as and when required to do so Deliver a consultative and proactive service offering expert knowledge of how best to meet client objectives through group travel events to ensure client retentionTo support all areas of the business by providing them with new and existing leads within client account.To be continually aware of the departmental targets and client income. Increase income levels reduce cancellations at all timesManage a range of project tasks to ensure deliverables are on time, on budget and on brandUnderstand client accounts, to immerse yourself in allocated client brand and culture through understanding of their marketplace and competitor landscape Achievement of pre agreed OKR’s.Support the Team Leader(s) and Head of Event Travel on tasks and projectsFinancial targets contributed to and achievedSkills RequiredProven experience in the travel industryExperience of working in a groups team preferred but not essentialGDS experienceCvent and/or understanding of event registration toolsExcellent fare and ticketing knowledge including Published, Net, Group, and Consolidator faresWorking knowledge of MS Office Suite, with a focus on Excel and OutlookExperience working in a high-pressured environmentExcellent geographical and airline schedule knowledgeThe ability to work on multiple events at the same timeThe posted pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the compensation for this position and is subject to change based on business need. To determine a successful candidate’s starting pay, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location, an evaluation of the candidate’s skills and experience, market demands, and internal parity.For roles with on-target-earnings (OTE), the pay range includes both base salary and target incentive compensation. Target incentive compensation for some roles may include a ramping draw period. Compensation is higher for those who exceed targets.
