This role also serves as a mentor to junior surveyors and ensures the highest quality standards in deliverables.Responsibilities:* Manage and oversee all aspects of land surveying projects, with a focus on high-profile and complex assignments.* Supervise and coordinate activities of field and office staff, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency.* Collaborate with clients, engineers, and stakeholders to develop and execute comprehensive project plans.* Mentor junior survey staff, providing training and technical expertise.* Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring alignment with client expectations and organizational goals.* Perform advanced boundary resolution and oversee boundary construction and related issues.* Review and sign off on all survey deliverables, including drawings, legal descriptions, and reports.* Identify and address potential project risks, developing mitigation strategies as necessary.* Implement best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.Qualifications:* Licensed Professional Surveyor (LPS) in the state of employment.* 10+ years of experience as a Licensed Professional Surveyor.* Extensive experience with ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, topographic surveys for design, and construction staking.* Proven expertise in resolving complex boundary issues and managing large-scale projects.* Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a focus on team development.* Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.* Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, resources, and invoicing.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on client engagement.* Outstanding time management and organizational skills.* Dependable and capable of leading multiple projects concurrently.* Ability to work Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with overtime as needed.EEO Statement:All qualified applicants for Pape-Dawson Engineers will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.### About Pape-DawsonPape-Dawson is a leading civil engineering and professional services firm, with a history of delivering award-winning infrastructure and development projects with national impact.
