Today should be better than yesterday, and tomorrow must be better than todayEvents & Social Media Manager Heal The EarthAbout the RoleHeal The Earth is seeking a dynamic Events & Social Media Manager to lead two equally critical functions: producing meaningful in-person and digital events, and owning the day-to-day management and growth of our social media channels. This person is an organized, creative, relationship-driven professional who is as comfortable executing an intimate community gathering as they are crafting a well-timed Instagram Reel.We are a small but growing organization with an early-stage social media presence. We are not looking for someone to manage already-thriving accounts — we are looking for someone who is energized by the challenge and opportunity of building something from the ground up. If you love the idea of creating a brand voice, growing an audience, and watching channels come to life through your work, this role is for you.Event ManagementYou will plan and execute 3–5 in-person events per year and 3–4 digital/virtual events per year. Our events are small to medium in scale, typically ranging from 30–50 attendees, and are designed to foster genuine connection between our community, donors, and mission. Think curated cultivation dinners, community volunteer days, local awareness events, and intimate sponsor gatherings — not large-scale galas or conference-style productions. This year our signature event will take place at the San Diego Fair, where we'll be educating customers on organic avocados.You Are:Skilled at managing all phases of small to medium event production, from concept and budget development through day-of logistics and post-event wrap-upExperienced in vendor sourcing, contract negotiation, and cost management without sacrificing qualityA strong relationship builder with donors, sponsors, vendors, and community partnersComfortable leading volunteers and coordinating small teams to deliver seamless, welcoming event experiencesExperienced in fundraising and "friendraising" event strategy, including donor cultivation and corporate sponsorship acquisition at a community levelYou'll Be Responsible For:Planning and executing 3–5 annual in-person events for audiences of approximately 30–50 peoplePlanning and executing 3–4 annual digital/virtual events including webinars, livestreams, and online fundraising activationsManaging event budgets, timelines, vendor relationships, and logistics appropriate to small to medium scale productionsDriving sponsorship outreach and donor engagement through thoughtful, personal event programmingRecruiting, coordinating, and supervising event volunteersSocial Media ManagementYou will own Heal The Earth's daily social media presence, with a primary focus on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.
