RN - Med Surg Telemetry FloatLocation: Los Angeles, CATrusted Staffe is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in both Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing to join our partner medical facility in Los Angeles, CA. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience and the ability to float between Med-Surg and Telemetry units, providing comprehensive care to a diverse patient population.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide skilled nursing care to patients in both Med-Surg and Telemetry settings.Perform thorough assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient progress.Administer medications and treatments, closely monitor patient response, and document accurately.Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, identify changes, and initiate appropriate interventions.Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide holistic care.Educate patients and families on their condition, treatment plan, and self-care strategies.Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.QualificationsMinimum 3 years of Telemetry and Med Surg experience requiredActive California RN licenseCurrent BLS, ACLS, and NIH certificationsAbility to read and interpret cardiac stripsProficiency InInterpretation and management of dysrhythmiasTelemetry monitoring (on-unit and remote)IV therapy and phlebotomyRespiratory/thoracic careMedication administration (heparin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drips - no titration)Additional InformationAccepts first-time travelersNo call requirementEvery Other Weekend Coverage RequiredScrubs: Royal BluePatient population: Adolescents to GeriatricsUnit DetailsAverage Census: 36Number of Rooms/Beds: 36Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5ScheduleDay Shift (3x12 Hours), 7:00 AM - 7:30 PMRTO PolicyRTO requests must be submitted with the application.No RTO is allowed during the first two weeks of the assignment.One vacation RTO may be submitted but is not guaranteed to be approved.Once RTO is submitted, it cannot be changed unless it's to cancel the time requested.Please confirm all needed time off for the full 13-week contract beforehand.BenefitsCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package.Opportunities for professional growth and development.Supportive and collaborative team environment.To ApplyIf you are a dedicated RN with experience in Med-Surg and Telemetry, we encourage you to apply today!
