Engineering Operations TechnicianLocation: Dallas–Fort Worth, TX (Onsite)Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-HireClient: Major Retail/Technology ClientOverviewBrooksource is seeking motivated Engineering Operations Technicians to support the operation, maintenance, and reliability of critical facility infrastructure within a large-scale data center environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in electrical, mechanical, industrial maintenance, or critical facilities who are looking to grow their careers in mission-critical operations.In this role, you'll partner with engineering and facilities teams to help ensure the safe and reliable operation of building systems while supporting preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.ResponsibilitiesSupport the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure.Perform preventative maintenance and assist with troubleshooting equipment and facility systems.Conduct routine inspections and document equipment conditions and operational readings.Respond to equipment alarms, operational issues, and facility events as needed.Partner with internal teams and vendors to complete maintenance and repair activities.Follow established safety procedures and contribute to a strong safety culture.Assist with identifying and resolving equipment issues to maintain facility uptime.Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and operational updates.Support additional facility projects and operational initiatives as assigned.QualificationsExperience working in industrial maintenance, facilities, manufacturing, utilities, data centers, or other mission-critical environments.Hands-on experience troubleshooting, maintaining, or repairing electrical and/or mechanical equipment.Familiarity with one or more of the following is preferred:Electrical distribution systemsUPS systemsGeneratorsHVAC or chilled water systemsPumps, motors, or controlsBuilding automation systemsAbility to read and interpret technical documentation and equipment diagrams.Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment.Flexibility to support varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities as business needs require.Preferred QualificationsData center or critical facilities experience.Trade school, military, or technical training in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, industrial maintenance, or a related field.Experience with preventative maintenance programs or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).Physical RequirementsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.Ability to lift and move equipment and materials within established safety guidelines.Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb stairs or ladders, and work in equipment rooms for extended periods.Comfortable working in a data center or industrial environment, including occasional exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.Brooksource, Medasource, and Calculated Hire are part of the Eight Eleven Group family of companies and operate under Eight Eleven Group, LLC.
