Forward Deployed Engineer - Implementation
As a Forward Deployed Implementation Engineer you will play a key role in ensuring our Federal customers’ success when deploying on our various proprietary platforms. The Customer Implementation Engineer will represent the company as a technical subject matter expert during customer-facing engagements, working closely with program managers while collaborating cross-functionally with product, platform engineering, corporate customer success, program management, and sales.Additionally, candidates must reside in one of the approved hiring hubs:DC/Maryland/VirginiaRaleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill, NCDenver/Colorado Springs, CODallas/Fort Worth, TXWhat You’ll Do:Serve as a key member of the owning technical aspects of direct customer deployment implementationsDevelop in-depth technical knowledge of proprietary products and represent the company internally and externally as a trusted subject matter expert on the Federal teamIdentify areas for improvement in our onboarding or customer support processes and engage with product teams to align roadmaps with demand signalsOnboard our customers’ apps into GameWarden for security scanning, deployment configuration and development of accreditation productsConfigure and perform customer deployments in the cloud environmentsWork with on-premises hardware to prepare and install devices with secure OS and KubernetesAct as a vital team contributor, spearheading the technical execution for direct customer platform integrationsMaster the technical nuances of our toolset to serve as a high-impact subject matter expert for the Federal division Skills You’ll Bring to Our Team (Required):Active Security Clearance - Secret at a minimum with the ability to obtain TS/SCISelf-starter who can thrive independently and in team settingsStrong client-facing operational experience, ideally within the Defense Industrial Base (partnerships, or customer success) who enjoys solving problems with customers to achieve mission successHands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure (certified or eager to certify)Hands-on experience with Linux installation, troubleshooting, and maintenanceMid to Senior-level (3-7 years) experience in technical roles (software engineering, sales engineering, technical product management) with proven problem-solving skillsHands-on software development, networking, or DevOps experience with cloud technologiesFamiliarity with tech stack: AWS, Talos Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Istio, Git, GitLab, Terraform, relational databasesExcellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively in high-pressure environmentsKnowledge of DevSecOps tools and practicesAbility to support occasional travel up to 25%Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience in a federal/government-facing solutions architect roleStrong track record supporting complex enterprise SaaS customersCybersecurity knowledge or certifications (e.g., Security+)
