Job DescriptionQuality Lead - Vinyl Extrusion & PultrusionMilgard Windows & Doors | Fife, WASchedule: Grave Shift | 2-2-3 Rotating | 6:00 PM - 6:00 AMPay: starts at $26 DOE + $2.00/hour shift differentialPaid lunch, built-in overtime, and growth opportunityJob SummaryMilgard Windows & Doors is seeking a Quality Lead to support and drive day-to-day quality operations for our vinyl extrusion and pultrusion manufacturing processes. This role plays a critical part in ensuring products meet specifications, supporting process control and troubleshooting, and helping build a strong, collaborative quality team on grave shift.This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on quality professional who wants to make an impact, support production partners, and contribute to continuous improvement in a manufacturing-driven environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead in-process and final product inspections to ensure conformance to specificationsMonitor critical extrusion and pultrusion parameters, including temperatures, pressures, cure cycles, and dimensionsIdentify, document, and resolve quality issues using root cause analysis and corrective actionsDrive reduction of scrap and rework through preventive and continuous improvement initiativesMaintain accurate quality records, inspection results, and non-conformance documentationSupport ISO 9001 requirements and participate in internal and customer auditsTrain, coach, and guide operators and quality technicians on standards, procedures, and defect recognitionServe as the quality liaison between production, engineering, suppliers, and customersActively contribute to building and strengthening a high-performing quality culture on shiftQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred3-5+ years of quality experience in extrusion, pultrusion, plastics, or composites manufacturingStrong understanding of dimensional inspection, process controls, and manufacturing specificationsExperience with SPC, root cause analysis, corrective action systems, and quality documentationAbility to read engineering drawings and use inspection tools (calipers, gauges, micrometers, etc.)PreferredPrior leadership, lead, or shift-lead experienceSix Sigma, Lean, or continuous improvement trainingISO 9001 audit experienceWork EnvironmentThis position is based on the manufacturing floor and requires standing, walking, lifting, and consistent use of PPE in an industrial setting.Why Join Milgard$2/hour grave-shift differentialPaid lunch and built-in overtime on a stable 2-2-3 rotating scheduleOpportunity to help build and shape a strong quality teamHands-on role with real influence on quality and production outcomesSupportive culture focused on safety, craftsmanship, and continuous improvementWhat We OfferOur benefits package includes coverage of your health, wealth, and wellness for you and your eligible spouse/dependents.
