The role supports fleet operations by resolving CASREPs, maintaining bench stock, assisting with future demand analyses, and offering on-site or helpdesk assistance as needed. Responsibilities include reviewing installation drawings, participating in Tier I and II meetings, ensuring APL compliance, tracking maintenance progress, and performing Beyond Economic Repair analyses. The technician prepares detailed repair and testing reports, manages data in MS Access, and uses advanced electronic test equipment such as signal generators, multimeters, network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.ResponsibilitiesProvide technical evaluations, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs of Depot Level Repairable (DLR)Provide technical support to resolve Fleet Casualty Reports (CASREPs)Assist with maintaining and updating Bench Stock Repair PartsAssist with Annual Future Demand Analysis (Technical maintenance requirements)When necessary, provide on-site technical assistance/support to fleet activitiesWhen necessary, provide fleet helpdesk support and serve as a technical liaison between the fleet and the NAVSUP PBLO commandReview installation drawing packagesAttend weekly Tier I and Tier II meetings to review actions and make recommendationsEnsure compliance with Allowance Parts ListsProvide oversight on maintenance schedule adherence and progress reportsPerform Beyond Economical Analyses on Depot Level Repairable (DLR) material returned from fleet - Assist gov't with developing, reviewing project documentsPossess working knowledge of shipboard SSEE_E, SSEE_F, and SSEE Mods systems - Input daily repair log information using MS Access databasesProvide detailed repair and testing reports for PBLO itemsDemonstrate expert experience using electronic test equipment such as (Signal Generators, Multimeters, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers)QualificationsAssociate's Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science; or Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; or four-year electronics apprentice program; or High School diploma or GED.Five (5) with degree/formal training or seven (7) years with HS/GED of practical experience to include: design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents and drawings.Required: NAVY SSEE_E, SSEE_F, and SSEE Mods evaluations, diagnostics, and repair knowledge of Depot stock material. Integrated lab testing and troubleshooting of SSEE material.Strong understanding of the interdependencies of equipment.Must be proficient with Electronic test equipment such as Signal Generators, Multimeters, Network Analyzers and Spectrum Analyzers.Differentiator: Prior SSEE_E veteran technician with recent hands-on technical experience. CTM School.An individual shall have notable experience performing one or a combination of the following duties:Constructing components, subunits, or simple models, or adapting standard equipment; may troubleshoot and correct malfunctionsFollowing a specific layout and scientific diagrams to construct and package simple devices and subunits of equipmentConducting various tests or experiments, which may require minor modifications in test setups or procedures, as well as subjective judgments in measurement, selecting, preparing, and operating standard test equipment, and recording test dataExtracting and compiling a variety of engineering data from field notes, manuals, lab reports, etc., processing data, identifying errors or inconsistencies, selecting methods of data presentation, and assisting in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials that are pertinent to specific items of equipment or component partsDeveloping information concerning previous operational failures and modifications, and using judgment and initiative to recognize inconsistencies or gaps in data and seek sources to clarify information.An individual shall be capable of performing assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed, selecting or adapting standard procedures or equipment, using fully applicable precedents, receiving initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from a supervisor or engineer as needed, performs recurring work independently.Work is reviewed for technical adequacy or conformity with instructions.Ships Signal Exploitation EquipmentProficient with SSEE Inc. E, SSEE Inc. FCryptologic Tech ExperienceActive Secret Clearance walking through the doorDesired: RF Circuitry board level evaluation, diagnosis, and repairs. Knowledge of HF, RF, and VUHF chassis.
