Industrial Master Electrician
Position Overview
We are looking for a talented and licensed Industrial Master Electrician to become a part of our team. The person in this role will be responsible for the oversight, installation, upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of intricate industrial electrical systems within a manufacturing or industrial setting. The right candidate will bring to the table solid leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of electrical codes, and hands-on experience with high-voltage and automated systems.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide your work.
Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems, motor controls, drives, and automation equipment to maintain operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and local electrical codes, contributing to a safe work environment.
Supervise and mentor journeyman electricians and apprentices, fostering their professional growth.
Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to minimize downtime.
Diagnose and repair electrical failures in production equipment.
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to improve system reliability.
Manage electrical projects from planning to successful completion.
Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed.
Qualifications
Active Master Electrician License is essential.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial electrical work.
In-depth knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, transformers, and power distribution systems.
Proven experience in manufacturing, processing, or heavy industrial settings.
Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Exceptional troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.
Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations.
Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
Preferred Experience
Hands-on experience with automation and robotics systems.
Experience working with high-voltage systems.
Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Background in food processing, automotive, energy, or heavy manufacturing industries.
