Lead Welder / Special Projects Full-Time | 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) We are a growing manufacturing and fabrication company focused on quality, efficiency, and solving real-world problems for our customers. In addition to production work, we take on one-off and specialty fabrication projects—and we’re looking for the right person to own those from start to finish. This role is ideal for an experienced welder who enjoys autonomy, variety, and taking responsibility for seeing projects through. When specialty projects aren’t active, this role works alongside our production welding team. What You’ll Do Lead and execute one-off and specialty welding/fabrication projects from start to finish Work from prints, sketches, or verbal direction to build custom parts and assemblies Perform MIG welding in both custom and production environments Support production welding as needed between special projects Inspect weld quality and maintain high standards Collaborate with supervisors and management on project planning and execution Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Mentor or assist other welders when appropriate What We’re Looking For 5+ years of welding experience preferred Strong MIG welding skills (required) Aluminum welding experience preferred but not required Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and basic fabrication drawings Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight Problem-solver mindset — able to adapt when projects change Prior lead, senior, or “go-to” shop experience is a plus Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Physical Requirements Ability to stand for the duration of the shift Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
