Hospitalist Primary Therapist at Shodair Children’s Hospital
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled therapist to join our multidisciplinary inpatient care team. In this vital role you will provide therapeutic services to children and families facing serious emotional and behavioral challenges.
What You’ll Do
Deliver individual, family, and group therapy
Complete assessments, behavior plans, treatment, and discharge planning
Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to ensure integrated care
Lead discharge safety planning and psychoeducation
Serve as a key advocate for the patient and family
Participate in daily rounds and treatment planning meetings
Support families in understanding diagnoses and navigating care systems

Clinical Expertise: Strong knowledge of child/adolescent psychiatric disorders, skilled in individual, group, and family therapy, and experienced in crisis and safety planning.

Requirements
Master’s or Doctorate in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or related field
Montana licensure (LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist)
Two years of experience working with children with serious emotional disturbance (preferred)
Expertise in individual, group, and family therapy
Ability to manage crisis, lead therapeutic interventions, and build trust with patients and families
