They lead business process improvements to assure the order fulfillment process meets or exceeds customers' expectations in lead-time and on-time delivery and drives improved business profitability by implementing processes to support safety measures, quality initiatives and improve plant productivity.Essential Job FunctionsContributes to safety by being an active member of Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Safety CommitteeDevelops, trains to, and enforces policies regarding safety requirements, company policies, and work procedures, production methods, equipment performance, and quality of productResponsible for planning and reaching L1 Board production metricsActive role in Ergonomics teamDevelops labor and capital plans to achieve schedule and budget requirementsPrimary trainer for Supervisors regarding L4 Boards, PMB, KRONOS, KPI Spreadsheets, etc.Works with Supervisors to verify headcounts match departmental workloadWorks with Supervisors to ensure L4 Board countermeasures are being completed to result in metric attainment and issue resolutionLeads daily production meeting and coordinates cross-functional department flowPerform other duties as assignedRequirementsBachelor's Degree/Technical Degree in manufacturing or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience5 years supervisory experienceStrong analytical and organizational skillsAbility to prioritize workload to meet time constraints and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentCapable of reading and interpreting engineering specifications, production work orders and related production work instructionsMust be approachable and availableStrong driver in developing a cohesive facility and fostering a learning environmentDemonstrates expertise in interpersonal/oral communication and written skillsProficient in Microsoft Office applications and strong Oracle skillsAt Life Fitness / Hammer Strength, we think customer first, play as one team, and raise the bar on fitness innovationin the gym and in every corner of our facilities.
