Electrical Estimator

Role SummaryIn this role, the Electrical Estimator will be a key contributor to project planning by producing detailed and reliable cost estimates. Your input will help guide leadership decisions, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. You will work collaboratively with Project Managers, Operations teams, and clients to develop competitive pricing strategies, maintain cost control, and support proposal development, with a focus on underground electrical construction and related systems.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the entire estimating and bidding process for assigned projectsMonitor bid schedules from invitation through final awardSource and evaluate new project opportunities when applicableReview drawings, specifications, and contract documents to build precise estimates and proposalsAttend pre-bid meetings and represent the company during bid submissions as neededAnalyze contract terms to identify scope requirements, risks, and commercial considerationsCompare current estimates with historical project data for accuracyConduct site visits to assess project scope and feasibilityAssist with submittal preparation and transition of awarded projects to operationsManage multiple estimates and deadlines concurrentlyQualifications & ExperienceMinimum of 3 years experience in construction estimating; experience with electrical work is highly desirableStrong knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) requirementsFamiliarity with estimating tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBidExcellent numerical, analytical, and quantity takeoff capabilitiesBackground in construction operations or field experience is an advantageStrong interpersonal and negotiation skills for working with vendors and contract stakeholdersAbility to interpret electrical and civil drawings accuratelyHighly organized with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines across multiple projects
