Host/Hostess

Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding guest services in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables. Manage the reservation system and ensure efficient seating arrangements. Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions. Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including waiting areas and host stations. Answer phone calls with professional phone etiquette, taking reservations or providing information as needed. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with a focus on guest relations, ensuring a positive dining experience. Utilize Aloha POS or other point-of-sale systems for managing waitlists and reservations effectively. Requirements Previous experience in guest services or food service is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Familiarity with restaurant operations, including knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
