If you’re up to the challenge, then take a chance at this rewarding opportunity!Position Overview:We're hiring a mid-level Network Engineer to own the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and health of a modern, Juniper-based enterprise network. The architecture team sets direction and designs the platform; this role keeps it running well - handling moves / adds / changes, monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution across a leaf / spine (Clos) fabric. It's an ideal fit for an Engineer with solid hands-on Juniper experience who wants deep operational ownership and a clear path to grow into fabric, automation, and overlay technologies. Responsibilities:Operate and maintain the production network day to day: Juniper EX / QFX switching, Mist wireless, Palo Alto Networks firewalls, and GlobalProtect VPN. Perform configuration changes, MACs (moves / adds / changes), and upgrades following change-management processes. Monitor network health and respond to alerts, events, and incidents - diagnosing and resolving issues to restore service quickly. Troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and wireless issues across the leaf / spine (Clos) fabric. Support core network services - DNS, DHCP, and similar - running on open-source platforms. Maintain documentation, runbooks, and network diagrams; keep configuration and inventory records current. Partner with lead architects to implement designs and feed operational insight back into platform improvements. Participate in maintenance windows and (if applicable) an on-call rotation. Required Qualifications:Typically 3-6 years of hands-on enterprise network engineering experience in an operational / support capacity. Solid, demonstrable Juniper experience: EX and / or QFX switching, JunOS CLI, and day-to-day configuration and troubleshooting. Working familiarity with leaf / spine (Clos) fabrics and EVPN-VXLAN overlays - operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting within the fabric. Hands-on experience with Mist wireless (or comparable enterprise Wi-Fi) and Palo Alto Networks firewalls with GlobalProtect VPN. Strong fundamentals: L2 / L3 routing and switching, VLANs, BGP / OSPF, and structured troubleshooting methodology. Experience using network monitoring / observability platforms (e.g., LibreNMS, Zabbix, SolarWinds, PRTG, Grafana, or the Mist dashboard) to detect and resolve issues. Clear communication and documentation habits; comfortable working within change management and ticketing workflows. Preferred Skills:Familiarity with open-source networking suites for DNS, DHCP, and other core network services. Basic automation / scripting (Python, Ansible) for repetitive operational tasks. Certifications such as JNCIA / JNCIS (Juniper) or PCNSA (Palo Alto). Interest in growing into MPLS - not used today, but a possible future direction for the network. Previous experience working with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) to support project tracking and documentation.
