Accounting Clerk / Bookkeeper
Modern Bookkeeping is seeking an experienced on-site Accounting Clerk / Bookkeeper to join our team. We are an accounting and tax office located in Durand, MI, with hundreds of clients located across the country. Our company culture focuses on teamwork in a fast paced client service environment.
Job Duties Include:
Performing bookkeeping functions for multiple clients.
Entering daily sales reports and deposits.
Performing accounts payable tasks from invoice to payment.
Performing accounts receivable tasks from billing to deposit of payment.
Recording bi-weekly payroll reports.
Reconciling of client accounts at month-end and year-end.
Other bookkeeping duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
2 years of accounting clerk /bookkeeper experience; or equivalent education.
Familiarity with use tax and 1099s.
Strong computer skills; including proficiency in Excel and Word.
Experience using accounting software.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Accounting CS software.
Experience managing multiple clients.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team office environment.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Highly organized and detail oriented.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate efficiently with owners, staff, and external contacts.
