Datacenter Technician
We're hiring Copper Cabling Technicians to support ongoing data center infrastructure work in an enterprise end-user environment. This role will focus primarily on structured copper cabling.Responsibilities:Read and interpret patch schedules to accurately execute cross-connectsInstall patch cords and route/dress cabling neatly according to industry standardsTerminate RJ45 connectors and build custom patch cords on-siteLabel all cabling and ports clearly and consistentlyMaintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of moves, adds, and changesWork within a live end-user data center environment while following all site protocolsBe willing to work overtime as neededRequirements:Prior experience with copper/structured cabling, preferably in a data center or enterprise environmentProficient in RJ45 termination and custom patch cord assemblyComfortable reading and following patch/cross-connect schedulesStrong attention to detail when it comes to labeling and documentationValid, unexpired driver's license requiredReliable transportation — this is a home-to-job/job-to-home role, so contractors must use their own vehicle. A company truck will be provided once converted to full-time.
