Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor of Occupational Therapy and Campus Fieldwork Coordinator

Penn State Mont Alto seeks applicants for Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor of Occupational Therapy and Campus Fieldwork Coordinator; Term appointment. This position is a full-time, 36-week contract starting July 1, 2025, or as negotiated.Responsibilities: Teach assigned courses in the associate degree program for Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) using traditional and hybrid delivery methods. Teaching assignments may require teaching day, evening and/or Saturday classes as needed. As Campus Fieldwork Coordinator, oversee all aspects of both Level I and Level II fieldwork selection and placement; establish new fieldwork sites; provide consultation to clinical educators; provide support and intervention as needed to clinical educators and students during fieldwork; provide evaluation and recommendations for continued use of each fieldwork site; comply with all Penn State policies and ACOTE standards. Participate in professional organizations. Participate in course development, curriculum matters, program assessment, and program development. Advise students and provide career guidance. Participate in campus, college, university, and community service activities. Engage in activities to stay current in the disciplineQualifications: The applicant must currently hold and maintain NBCOT credentials as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) and must hold or be eligible to hold a Pennsylvania state license (for details, please see https://www.pa.gov/agencies/dos/department-and-offices/bpoa/boards-commissions/occupational-therapy.html ). A degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant or Occupational Therapy program is required. A minimum of a master's degree in an appropriate field or equivalent combination of education and professional experience is required. Minimum of five years combined clinical experience required; practitioners with experience in physical disabilities and pediatrics practice will be given priority consideration. Prior experience in higher education and fieldwork supervision is a plus but is not required. Interest in active and collaborative learning, the instructional use of technology, and hybrid and online teaching is an advantage. Prior college-level and online teaching experience is preferred.
