Certified Pharmacy Technician
Gil Drugs is hiring an Experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated team serving retail, hospice, and long-term care patients. We are seeking a skilled, compassionate professional who treats patients as the number one priority and thrives in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.
This role includes traditional pharmacy technician responsibilities along with customer service, cashiering, answering phones, and supporting patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
Process prescriptions for retail, hospice, and long-term care patients
Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring every patient feels respected and cared for
Answer phones professionally and respond to patient, prescriber, and facility inquiries
Operate the cash register and handle transactions as needed
Maintain accurate patient records and comply with all pharmacy regulations
Assist with inventory management, stocking, and organization
Support workflow efficiency in a busy pharmacy setting
Maintain a clean, safe, and patient-focused work environment
Qualifications (Experienced Technicians Only):
Active Pharmacy Technician license or registration (required)
Previous pharmacy technician experience required
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented
Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, mid shifts, and weekends
Benefits (Full-Time Employees):
$18–$22/hour, based on experience
