Four Hands is where passion meets purpose and where your next chapter begins.The Vendor Quality Assurance Specialist serves as the primary coordinator between Four Hands and our US vendors to ensure product quality and packaging standards are met through hands-on testing and direct collaboration. The position requires a detail-oriented, self-managed professional who can travel regularly, lead testing initiatives, and confidently address quality issues with vendors while driving timely resolutions.In This RoleServe as a liaison between Four Hands and US vendors to follow product quality and packaging specificationsBuild and manage vendor relationships through regular one-on-one meetings, representing the organization while balancing vendor needs and constraintsPartner cross-functionally with product and quality teams to align on vendor product quality and root cause analysisLead product and packaging testing to ensure durability, longevity, and safe delivery, including hands-on validation of product performanceEvaluate and improve packaging effectiveness, particularly for fragile and high-risk itemsTrain and guide vendors on testing standards, procedures and QARMA inspectionsIdentify quality issues and defect trends, driving root cause analysis and resolution with vendorsHold vendors accountable for corrective actions, ensuring issues are resolved within established timelinesManage data and reporting within PLM system around product technical specificationsParticipate in sample reviews with US Sourcing and Austin Design as requiredTravel to vendor locations at least 25% of time (domestic and international)Other duties as assigned, in accordance with training and qualificationsUphold the Core Values and be a valuable member of the Four Hands teamBe open and honestReach for excellenceAct with responsibilityValue the whole personEnjoy the journeyThe Ideal PersonMinimum 3 years’ experience in supplier or product quality coordination, furniture experience preferredAbility to travel to vendor locations at least 25% of time (domestic and international)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience leading vendor calls, documenting issues, and providing clear feedbackProven ability to operate independently, manage priorities, and drive vendor follow-ups to completion with minimal oversightStrong problem solving and creative thinking skillsHigh attention to detail with sense of urgency and the ability to balance competing prioritiesAbout Four HandsHeadquartered in Austin, Texas, since 1996, Four Hands crafts furniture, art and décor — pieces that are all about creating space.
