May coach and develop Quality Technician and Manufacturing Engineers on best practice.Job DescriptionCoordinates report outs of the data analysis for projects, and product lines. Includes customer line and field analysis, corrective action effectiveness, and overall internal quality metrics effectiveness. Designs the internal standards to be followed by the Quality Technician and Manufacturing Engineers. Reviews and evaluates the effectiveness of the quality planning for continuous improvement. Evaluates the root cause corrective action requirements and assigns appropriate internal personnel and external experts as needed. Facilitates training, corrective action process review, is typically the corrective action leader and the single point of contact to the customer for corrective action. Ensures all customer quality requirements are integrated into the QMS and communicates to management when gaps exist in meeting those requirements. Provides an overview of the customer quality requirements.Essential Duties and Responsibilities\nEnsure statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error when screening for non-conforming product.\nWorks with individual programs to monitor or analyze product assembly quality data and help correct quality issues.\nPerforms analysis on returned product and provides feedback to engineering to better improve the process\nEnsure Work instructions and Processes meet AS9100/ISO 9001 requirements.\nEnsure the products & product work instructions are within customer quality systems specifications\nDevelop new approaches to problem solving identified during quality assurance activities.\nServe as a quality assurance resource to supervisor(s) and manufacturing engineers for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.\nReport to programs on quality issues, trends and losses.\nPerforms in-process quality monitoring of factory assembly lines and engineering assembly labs.\nRepresent quality at program meetings.\nMaterial Review Board member\n\nRequired Skills:\nBachelor&#39;s Degree (preferred) in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Technology or Quality Assurance with 6+ years of experience in a Quality role in a manufacturing environment or a Master&#39;s degree.\nMust be willing to travel occasionally (<5%) to our customers.\nAbility to obtain a US Government security clearance. Security clearances are granted to U.S. citizens.\n\nDesired Skills:\nHave a passion for quality and prevention (doing it right the first time).\nKnowledge of QMS ISO 9001 or AS 9100.\nExperience in performing First Article Inspections (FAIs)\nMust have strong computer skills and be especially proficient in MS Office.\nHave excellent communication skills.\nSix Sigma certification, Lean certification, Statistical Process Control (SPC), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), Control Plans and / or American Society for Quality (ASQ) certifications\nExperience with Six Sigma methodology and tools such as lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.\nGeneral knowledge of industry technical standards (such as ANSI, IPC, J-Standard, ASTM, etc.)\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nRequires at times to work long hours including overtime.\nWill require some travel for personal training and customer visits.\nNormal color vision and physical dexterity\nExpected Compensation: The expected compensation range for this role is $105,000-125,000.Please note this represents the expected range Ultra Maritime reasonably expects to pay.
