Job Summary:The purpose of the Neckline/Fingerboard CNC Operator is to take radius cut fingerboards and mill precise inlay routings that prepare the components to be assembled into the final product. Inlay routing is where the fingerboards are cut to accept the inlays. Team members are required to have great attention to detail and intimate knowledge of the different models and machine programs. This is where a fingerboard begins to take on the characteristics that determine what model it will be and is a vital process in the creation of a guitar that is both beautiful and unique.Essential Functions:Learn and execute process Standard of WorkMeet expected productivity standardsAble to operate a spindle and orbital sander to a high degree of precision95% pass rate based on production requirementsUnderstands and meets quality standards (Specs.)Maintains product flow at appropriate rateAdheres to department protocols (5S and Safety)Adherence to the Gibson Cardinal Safety Rules as per the Gibson Playbook for Cardinal Safety Rules and General Safety Rules.Obligation to submit safety observations for identified hazards using the safety observation QR code.Support the comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS) to ensure a safe work environment, maintain compliance with regulations, and improvement of our safety processes.Other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Strong attention to detail.Ability to read and interpret blueprints as well as adjusting offsets.Outstanding time management skillset with the ability to prioritize without direct supervision.Develop a strong understanding of all guitar models.Education and Experience:Results oriented and driven, with a track record for delivering to plan.Must be 18 years of age or older.Physical Demands:Basic physical stances and actions (sitting, standing, walking)Must be able to stand entire shift.Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
