Arclin USA is seeking talent for a Converter/Slitting job for our Hayward, WI location. Reporting into the Production Supervisor, this position is an entry level, full time position. Converter Operator is responsible for performing tasks and duties pertaining to the processing of resins for specialty paper coating. This role is required to know and perform all assigned production department functions in compliance with HSE - Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and Arclin’s policies and procedures to contribute positively to an efficient and safely run operation.Converter Operator Job ResponsibilitiesHayward site manufactures saturated paper overlays according to established procedures and HSE regulations. Converter Operator focus is reworking and converting finished materials to meet customer requirements.Operates a forklift / clamp truck to handle raw materials (paper, drums, totes, bags) and finished goods and production wasteOn-site Fork Truck training and certification providedPerforms duties to meet the production and shipping scheduleParticipates in plant activities to ensure safe operationsVisually monitors processes within their area of accountability and immediately correct deviationsResponds to process alarms and upsets to promptly resolve the root causePerforms In-Process Checks to verify production and quality specifications are metCommunicates with the Shift Supervisor, Technical and other support personnel to resolve process conditions affecting safety, quality, efficiency and production goals.Provide backup duties to treater production tasks dependent on converter work availabilityConverter Operator Job RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GEDForklift experience a plus or must be able to become certifiedAnalytical and mechanical mindsetFollow Health and Safety Guidelines and wear required Personal Protective EquipmentAbility to stand and walk frequentlyLift an average of 50 lbs occasionallyBasic computer skillsBasic math skills
