If this sounds like you, we should talk.JOB SUMMARYWe are seeking a Technical Program Manager to support our Spacecraft Programs and will identify needed resources for projects, define and assign major program roles, lead the establishment of and sets integrated based budget and schedule baselines, and monitor work accomplished to baseline plans to ensure rate of work completion is sufficient to meet program/product schedules. The ideal candidate should be accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working on the balance between program risks and opportunities with executable strategies to meet technical requirements and budgets.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for execution of spacecraft programs that cover the entire program lifecycle – proposal development, kickoff, development, test, build and launchLead analysis of contractual requirements, prepare cost and time estimates, and identify associated risks & opportunities during business development and major program phases.Manage Program Master Schedule for the spacecraft program that span kick off through Launch Mission OperationsManage Program Master Budgets and Risks, Issues and OpportunitiesThe ability to manage cost, schedule, financial, and technical performance requirements to ensure performance in support of the contract milestones of the system technical requirementsIdentifies when issues need to be escalated and alert appropriate staff within the organization and programsAbility to use proposal plans and strategies to implement executable, cohesive program plansExperience identifying issues, tracking progress, and following through with effective corrective actions planExperience managing programs using program schedules, earned value, risks, slack time, and critical pathAbility to quickly assess a situation and make sound, proactive decisionsPlan for resource allocation needs and work with Department Managers for staffingOversee execution and burndown of Program RisksContinuous process improvement within the program management organizationStrategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectivesProvide weekly metrics to progressRequired Skills and ExperienceExperience in aerospace or related industryOutstanding working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processesDesired Skills and ExperienceWorking knowledge of spacecraft design and manufacturingKnowledge of JIRA, MSProject or related toolsKnowledge of systems engineering best practicesEducation & Work ExperienceBS, MS degree in engineering, or related field10+ year relevant experience managing complex programs where precision and attention to detail are critical to successStrong technical expertiseCompensationAnnual Base Salary Range: $180,000 to $215,000 per year.Base pay is one part of our total compensation package (base + bonus + equity) and is determined within a range. Your actual base salary will be determined on job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Our benefit plans include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k retirement plan, short and long term disability and life insurance. We also offer flexible PTO, along with 11 paid holidays, sick time and paid parental leave.This is a full-time position in San Jose, California, Hybrid, or Remote. This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services.
