Senior Account Manager – Banks & Buyside

Our client is an established and highly respected FinTech provider of risk and back office software, with a blue-chip client base spanning global banks, asset managers and institutional investors. Their relationships run deep — built over years of delivering solutions that sit at the operational heart of their clients' businesses.They are now seeking a Senior Account Manager to own, protect and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts across both the banking and buyside segments in North America.The OpportunityThis is not a passive relationship management role. You will be a trusted partner to some of the most sophisticated financial institutions in the market — identifying expansion opportunities, managing renewal cycles, navigating complex stakeholder environments and ensuring that the firm's clients are always ahead of where the product is going.For the right person, this is a career-defining position with a firm whose clients stay for the long term — because the product earns it.What You Will Be Doing· Owning a portfolio of strategic banking and buyside accounts, serving as the primary senior relationship contact· Identifying and closing expansion and upsell opportunities across existing clients· Managing renewal processes and protecting revenue with a proactive, insight-led approach· Building multi-threaded relationships across risk, technology, operations and C-suite stakeholders· Acting as the voice of the client internally — feeding market intelligence back to product and leadership teams· Partnering with implementation and client success teams to ensure seamless delivery and client satisfactionWhat We Are Looking For· 8–12 years of account management or senior client relationship experience within FinTech, covering banking and/or buyside institutions· Deep familiarity with risk, back office or capital markets software environments· Proven ability to grow revenue within existing accounts — a track record of expansion, not just retention· Senior relationships and the gravitas to operate credibly at MD and C-suite level· Genuine curiosity about clients' businesses — you stay close, stay relevant, and stay aheadCompensationBase salary $200,000–$220,000 depending on experience, with a highly competitive OTE and full benefits package.This is a confidential search.
