By maintaining an efficient and dependable water delivery system, the team contributes to the growth and sustainability of the region.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role with agricultural water district based in Bakersfield, CA.The Pumpman position requires general skills relating to operation and maintenance of the District’s pumping plants and related facilities. Performs various tasks including service and maintenance of vertical multi-stage pumping units, electrical motors, check valves, travelling water screens, conveyors, air compressors, and hydro-pneumatic tank related equipment. Assists Maintenance staff in installation of equipment for additions or modifications to facilities. Assists Electrical staff in maintenance activities relating to SCADA control and metering equipment.
