Earthwork and Utilities Estimator | Commercial Construction | Dallas, TX$70,000 – $110,000 base salary rangeBlayze Group is partnering with a privately owned commercial concrete and civil contractor to appoint an Earthwork and Utilities Estimator within its estimating function. The business operates within a broader construction group and delivers concrete, earthwork, and utilities packages across a repeat commercial client base.The role is focused exclusively on commercial projects, with a strong concentration on pre engineered metal buildings. Estimating scopes typically include earthwork, underground utilities, and associated concrete packages, delivered within a fast paced and high volume bidding environment.This position reports directly to senior leadership and requires a hands on estimator capable of independently producing accurate takeoffs and pricing across multiple bids per week.Experience estimating earthwork and utilities is essential.The Role• Prepare detailed estimates for commercial earthwork and utilities scopes• Produce accurate takeoffs for dirt, underground utilities, and concrete packages• Utilize AGTEK software as the primary estimating tool• Review drawings, specifications, and addenda to develop complete pricing• Coordinate with internal operations teams to validate production assumptions• Manage bid deadlines across multiple concurrent opportunities• Support scope reviews, bid clarifications, and post bid negotiations• Maintain estimating databases, cost histories, and pricing benchmarks• Communicate clearly with leadership regarding risk, exclusions, and assumptionsBackground Sought• Minimum 3 years experience as an estimator focused on earthwork and utilities• Clear experience estimating commercial sitework or civil scopes• Strong working knowledge of AGTEK, daily use expected• Experience pricing projects in the $200,000 to $500,000 range• Comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment• Detail focused, commercially aware, and technically sound• Prior experience with pre engineered metal building projects preferredCandidates without direct earthwork and utilities estimating experience should not expect alignment.Why This OpportunityThis role offers a focused estimating position within a stable commercial contractor backed by an established construction group.
