Part-Time Video Editor Contractor – Long-Form & Short-Form Content (Remote)

This is a remote contractor role focused on delivering high-quality long-form and short-form video content.You will take raw footage and turn it into polished, ready-to-publish deliverables, including long-form edits, short-form clips, captions, thumbnails when needed, and organized final asset packages.This role is ideal for editors who are fast, detail-oriented, and comfortable working within established templates and creative direction while using AI tools to improve efficiency.We are also looking for someone who takes ownership of their lane. This is not just an execution role - we want editors who can bring ideas, make thoughtful suggestions, identify opportunities to improve the workflow or output, and help strengthen the overall content operation.For the right person, there is strong potential for growth into greater responsibility over time. If you show seriousness, consistency, strong judgment, and ownership, this role can expand.Key Responsibilities:Edit raw footage into polished long-form videosCreate engaging short-form clips for social media platformsAdd captions, subtitles, and polish audioCreate or assist with video thumbnailsExport final deliverables in the correct formatsOrganize and package final assets for easy distributionFollow brand guidelines, templates, and creative directionUse AI tools to support editing, clipping, and production workflowTake ownership of assigned deliverables and maintain a high standard of outputSuggest improvements to editing, packaging, workflow, and content performance where appropriateRequirements:Experience editing both long-form and short-form video contentStrong understanding of pacing, cuts, captions, and platform-specific formattingAbility to follow templates and creative direction with minimal oversightComfortable using AI tools as part of the editing processReliable, deadline-oriented, and well-organized with file managementAble to work independently, take ownership, and communicate clearly in a remote environmentMust be able to work remotely as a contractorPreferred:Experience with YouTube, podcast, or business/creator contentPortfolio demonstrating both long-form and short-form workStartup or fast-paced environment experienceComfortable making recommendations and contributing ideas beyond the edit itselfHow to Apply:Applications must be submitted through our website.
