Your recruiter will provide the most up-to-date details during the hiring process.How you’ll make an impact in this roleOperational Oversight & Compliance: Supervise daily sterile processing activities to ensure 100% adherence to local policies and regulatory standards (AAMI, Joint Commission, CMS).Sterilization & Inventory Management: Oversee the end-to-end processing of surgical instruments—from decontamination to sterilization—while managing case cart preparation and inventory accuracy.Quality Assurance & Performance Metrics: Evaluate QA findings and audit outcomes to coach the team, focusing on optimizing productivity standards and work-flow efficiency.Staff Leadership & Development: Lead the full talent life-cycle, including hiring, clinical training, and performance evaluations to drive professional growth and departmental excellence.What Minimum Requirements You’ll NeedLicensure / Certification / Registration:One or more of the following required:Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.EducationHigh School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.Equal employment opportunity employerAscension provides Equal Employment Opportunities (EEO) to all associates and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex/gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, childbirth, and related medical conditions, lactation, breastfeeding, national origin, citizenship, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, marital status, all as defined by applicable law, and any other legally protected status or characteristic in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
