Position Summary The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and supporting daily accounting operations. This role works closely with the Finance team to ensure proper invoice handling, vendor maintenance, account reconciliation, and assistance with month-end close activities. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with a small accounting team. Key Responsibilities Process and review vendor invoices for accuracy, coding, and approval Enter and maintain accounts payable transactions in the accounting system Research and resolve invoice, pricing, and vendor discrepancies Reconcile accounts payable records and vendor statements Maintain vendor files, including ACH forms, W9s, and compliance documents Prepare basic general ledger entries, including inventory costing adjustments Assist with monthend close and other accounting tasks as assigned Build and maintain positive working relationships with vendors and internal teams Qualifications Associate degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience Prior accounts payable or accounting experience preferred Working knowledge of basic accounting principles Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting software Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines About Kencove Farm Fence, Inc.
