ESE Teacher Assistant

Teacher Assistant (Ages 4–6) – Student Support Role We are looking for a caring and dependable Teacher Assistant to support children ages 4–6 who need additional help in the classroom. The ideal candidate is patient, enthusiastic, and committed to helping young learners build confidence, independence, and school-readiness skills. Monday - Friday: 8 AM to 4 PM Play Pals is a therapeutic group program for children who are at risk of developmental delays or with identified disorders that impede their successful participation in preschool programs. Responsibilities Provide small-group support to students Reinforce classroom lessons and help adapt activities to meet individual needs Assist with daily routines, transitions, and behavior support Encourage positive social interactions and model appropriate communication Collaborate with the lead teacher to implement individualized strategies and learning plans Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment Communicate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or coursework in education/child development preferred Experience working with young children (school, daycare, camp, or similar setting) Ability to follow instructional guidance and work as part of a team Strong communication skills, patience, and a warm, supportive demeanor Experience with children with autism or other developmental disabilities is a plus Why Join Us: Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners Supportive and collaborative team environment Ongoing professional growth and training opportunities Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance Paid holidays (7) PTO Paid ECE or CE education hours Paid trainings during working hours Great work culture We hope you to hear from you soon!
