Spark Developer

Overview In this role you will drive analytics-focused data work within a software and IT services environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze upstream and downstream data needs, profile data, and ensure data quality for customer analytics. You will review code related to customer data and engage IT and business stakeholders to align on solutions, with Azure cloud exposure as a component of the infrastructure. You will leverage big data technologies to support data-driven decisions and transformation. ResponsibilitiesWork with Big Data components (Storm, Spark, HDFS, Hive) and NoSQL for developmentAnalyze upstream and downstream data needs for analytics and data profilingLiaise with teams across business units and communicate findingsUse SQL and other tools to analyze data and support data-driven decisionsReview code to identify issues related to customer dataUnderstand integration architecture and ETL tool featuresManage IT and business stakeholders; conduct assessment interviews and solution reviewsCollaborate on cloud implementations, with Azure exposure Key requirementsBachelor or equivalent experience; 4+ years in ITStrong development experience in Big Data and NoSQLProficiency with Java and Linux/UnixExperience with Storm, Spark, HDFS, HiveSQL proficiency and data analysis skillsExcellent communication and cross-team liaison abilitiesUnderstanding of ETL tools and data integrationAbility to engage stakeholders across business unitsstrong communication skillsstakeholder managementcross-functional collaborationJavaLinux/UnixStorm
