Position: Technician 1 Type: Full-Time Position Location: 2759 Pinnacle Drive, Elgin, IL. (Conveniently located off of Randall and 90) Function: Technician 1 Salary Range: Hourly ($16-$18 hour, depending on experience/skill level) Benefits: Full benefit package including 401k retirement plan, and Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance Industry: Touch and Non-Touch Screen Manufacturing Job Description: Fast paced OEM touch screen technology company seeking a highly motivated, self-starter technician. This position provides an opportunity to apply your technical skills to real-world manufacturing and assembly activities. You will also make meaningful contributions to our company through your involvement with many departments including: the Engineering Team – prototype building and new product builds, the Warehouse Team – picking, boxing product, staging product and inventory counts. Specific Responsibilities Include: Touch and non-touchscreen display assembly within a cleanroom environment. This includes picking parts for assembly, building sub-assemblies and/or full displays. The build process consists of part inspection, proper part fitment, using calibrated hand tools, completing the build, and passing final QC inspection within a timely fashion. You may be asked to rework or troubleshooting and repair any display that does not pass QC. Responsibilities will include using a time managing program, scanning parts and notifying warehouse staff if shelf inventory is low. Working with the shipping and receiving department to maintain a clean work area when boxing and picking. Inform Engineering team if problems are noticed while building new and or existing products. Qualifications: Must be a team-oriented person who is bright, energetic professional with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities and varying deadlines while operating at an extremely high-level of detail and quality Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Must be organized, neat, self-driven and independent person Fluent with Windows based computers and programs Education: Some college experience preferred, trade school or previous assembly work is acceptable Company Description: Tech Global is a worldwide leader in quality and performance within the industrial touch screen community.
