Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of sweet and savory goods, such as bread, cakes, pastries, and cookies.
- Use your culinary skills to create intricate designs and decorations for cakes and other baked goods.
- Ensure all baked goods meet the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste.
- Manage and maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist in food production, packaging, and distribution to meet customer demand.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and products.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations.
- Operate a commercial kitchen, including the use of industrial equipment and tools, such as mixers, ovens, and knives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Baker in a commercial or in a related culinary role.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food preparation methods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality products.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience working in a restaurant or food production setting.
- Familiarity with cake decorating and pastry techniques.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent education required.
