CMM Programmer

Overview In this role, you will program CMMs for multiple machining processes, support engineering with reporting and inspection, and drive quality improvements. You’ll interpret GD&T prints, develop probing and fixturing solutions, and mentor junior staff in CMM operations. You will apply Six Sigma tools to troubleshoot processes and pursue new manufacturing technologies to enhance capabilities. This position blends hands-on inspection with software development and cross-functional collaboration to sustain high-quality production. ResponsibilitiesProgram and manage multiple CMMs for various machining processesProvide formatted reports for engineering, CNC programs and operatorsInterpret GD&T prints and edit legacy CMM programsDevelop probing/fixturing solutions and SPC feedback softwareApply Six Sigma tools and root-cause analysis for process troubleshootingMentor entry-level personnel in CMM operationPursue new manufacturing technology and process improvementsPerform CMM inspections and use hand gauges as neededEnsure compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies Key requirements3+ years of CMM programming with PCDMIS in a high-speed machining environmentStrong time management and ability to coordinate multiple projectsStrong oral and written communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to work both in a team and independently; proficient with workload management toolsExperience with Microsoft Outlook; ability to create documents and reports in Word, Excel, PowerPointprofessional attitudecontinuous improvement mindseteffective communicatorPCDMIS programmingGD&T interpretationCMM inspection techniques
