About AbarVaAbarVa is building Nexus, an AI-native enterprise execution platform that helps organizations turn strategic decisions into governed action, measurable outcomes, and sustained business value.We are building Nexus alongside complex enterprise Data & AI transformations, particularly in regulated industries.The opportunityWe are looking for an experienced Data Visualization & BI Architect with deep Tableau expertise to help modernize complex enterprise analytics and reporting environments.This is not simply a dashboard-development role. You will work at the intersection of data, business metrics, semantic modeling and visualization—understanding what the business is trying to measure, determining how the data should be shaped, and creating analytical experiences that make complex information understandable and actionable.Tableau is a core requirement, but we want someone whose capabilities extend beyond a single BI platform.What you will doDesign and build sophisticated Tableau analytical products and dashboards.Modernize complex legacy reports and analytics.Determine which reports should be retained, retired, consolidated or redesigned rather than rebuilding everything one-for-one.Reverse-engineer existing calculations, KPIs, filters and reporting logic.Work with business owners to establish clear metric definitions and acceptance criteria.Partner with data engineers to define Silver/Gold data-product and semantic requirements.Validate replacement analytics against existing systems and reconcile differences.Design reusable semantic and reporting patterns.Build executive dashboards as well as detailed operational analytics.Optimize Tableau workbooks, extracts, queries and overall performance.Establish visualization standards covering information hierarchy, usability and executive storytelling.Establish testing, version-control and deployment practices for BI products.Work across AWS- and Azure-based enterprise data environments.Evaluate and work with open-source or alternative BI technologies where appropriate.Support embedded analytics and visualization capabilities within Nexus.Required qualificationsDeep, recent hands-on Tableau experience.Strong portfolio of enterprise visualization and analytics solutions.Strong SQL skills.Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, semantic models and analytical data products.Ability to understand complex business metrics—not merely visualize fields provided by somebody else.Experience with enterprise-scale BI/reporting modernization.Experience integrating Tableau with modern cloud data platforms.Experience working with AWS and/or Azure data environments.Strong performance-tuning and troubleshooting capability.Strong spoken and written English.Comfortable working directly with business leaders, analytics teams and enterprise clients.Broader BI and analytics experienceWe specifically value candidates who are not Tableau-only.Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:Power BIApache Superset or comparable open-source BI platformsCube or comparable semantic/query layersPython-based analyticsEmbedded analyticsDatabricksCloud-native analytical services on AWS or AzurePreferred experienceCurrent Tableau certification or comparable recognized BI certification.Healthcare, financial services, insurance or another regulated industry.Large-scale report rationalization or analytics migration.Experience rebuilding complex financial, operational or healthcare metrics.Databricks SQL and lakehouse architectures.Data quality and reconciliation.Self-service analytics design.Experience working alongside AI/ML or conversational analytics solutions.U.S. work authorizationCandidates must:Be currently authorized to work in the United States.Be able to work in the United States without current or future employment sponsorship.Be based in the United States and able to work directly with U.S.-based client teams.What we offerAbarVa offers a competitive compensation package aligned to experience, including:Competitive cash compensationPerformance-based incentive opportunityOpportunity to grow with an early-stage Data & AI companyWork on meaningful enterprise analytics modernization programsOpportunity to contribute to analytics and visualization capabilities within NexusHow we hireOur process emphasizes actual analytical and visualization ability:Work authorization and experience verificationAI-led screenTableau / BI technical discussionLive visualization and metric-reasoning exerciseLeadership discussionProfessional references
