Tool Service Technician

As a Tool Service Technician (Service Tech I), you'll use your skills to perform manual and maintenance tasks as well as minor repairs of specialty tools in a safe and professional manner. Like every member of our team, we will rely on you to provide exceptional customer service to our customers.What you'll do:Perform maintenance checks on rental equipment before and after useReport machine condition to ManagementLoad and unload equipment while complying with DOT regulations for height, width and weightClean all tools and prepare new equipment for rent or saleDemonstrate tools for customersPerform minor repairs of rental equipment and tools including electrical, calibration, certification, and tagging of tools for rental ready statusDemonstrate equipment for customersProvide assistance to higher level technicians as neededAssist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & partsOther duties assigned as neededRequirements:High School diploma or equivalentValid driver's license with acceptable driving recordBasic understanding of electrical testing equipmentGood mechanical aptitude including basic knowledge of toolsSuperior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skillsAbility to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.Why join us?We don't just "talk the talk!"
