In-Home Daycare Director
Job Overview
This is a unique opportunity live-in work opportunity in a small, in-home Christian daycare. We are seeking a dedicated director to live in our 3 bed, 2.5 bath townhome in South Logan for a discounted rent and operate as the primary childcare provider in the home offering care for as many as 7 children at a time. The daycare may be open as often as M-F, 8-5:30, though the hours worked by the Director are flexible. Hours are likely to start low and grow as the daycare grows. The ideal candidate will be invested in a long-term position at the daycare. The Director will coordinate activities, ensure compliance with licensing standards, provide full-spectrum care for children ages 0-7, and foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
Responsibilities
Provide full-day care for children ages 0-7, including feeding, diapering, and enriching activities. Extensive outdoor play is expected in all seasons.
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum focused on early childhood education and developmental milestones.
Maintain a safe and healthy environment by adhering to health regulations and implementing first aid procedures when necessary.
Manage enrollment processes, communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior management strategies, and developmental concerns.
Ensure compliance with licensing requirements and maintain accurate documentation related to child records, staff certifications (e.g., first aid), and safety protocols.
Promote a positive atmosphere that encourages learning through play, social interaction, and creative activities.
Minimum Requirements
Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom environments.
Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
Experience with classroom management and behavior management techniques.
Possession of or ability to obtain first aid and CPR certification, food handler's permit, and background check.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, staff, and community partners.
High sense of proactivity, responsibility, compassion, and leadership.
Must be comfortable teaching a non-denominational Christian curriculum.
Basic musical ability and comfort level teaching music and singing with children.

Bilingual, Spanish or Portuguese preferred
Returned missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Married and parent of 1-3 children

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
