PERSONNEL AIDE

Position Description General Overview Under close and continuous supervision, performs various duties, mostly labor type work. The position may require moderate physical exertion and may be performed under adverse weather conditions. Performs other related duties as required. Required Qualifications Any combination of training and work experience which indicates possession of skills, knowledge and abilities listed below. Must be 16 years of age and possess a valid State of Ohio drivers license. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic knowledge of safety practice and procedures; tools and equipment used in grounds maintenance; tools, equipment and supplies utilized in custodial work; department policies and procedures; office practices and procedures. Ability to carry out simple instructions; recognize safety warnings; cooperate with co-workers on most tasks; demonstrate physical fitness; sort items into categories according to established methods. (Indicates developed after employment) Job Duties The duties listed below are intended to depict tasks performed by this classification. Performs routine manual labor tasks (e.g., cuts, weeds, mows grass, picks up litter, empties waste receptacles, weeds lawns and flower beds, loads/unloads trucks, washes vehicles, mops floors, washes furniture and equipment, etc.); operates lawn mowing, floor care and simple hand held power tools.
