Research Physicist / Scientist

Signature Solutions, Inc. (SSI), a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a talented and self-motivated Research Physicist or Scientist to join a multi-disciplinary team that provides multispectral, physics-based modeling, simulation, and data analysis support for multiple U.S. Army programs on Redstone Arsenal, AL. SSI is seeking a talented and motivated Research Physicist with a strong background in electromagnetics, radar scattering, and thermal physics. The ideal candidate will provide a strong background in electromagnetics, radar scattering, and infrared/thermal physics. The applicant will contribute to cutting-edge research, development, and validation of predictive modeling techniques in applied physics and software development for Air and Missile Defense simulation systems. Strong programming skills are required. You will work in a collaborative environment, on-site at customer facilities at Redstone Arsenal, with regular interaction between team members, industry partners, and government customers. Key Responsibilities: Conduct theoretical and experimental research in computational electromagnetics and radar scattering. Develop and validate computational models for thermal physics and radar scattering phenomena. Collaborate with research team to create and enhance simulation tools and algorithms. Ensure the accuracy and reliability of software tools through rigorous testing and validation protocols. Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville – North Alabama area. Qualifications: 0 to 10 years work experience with a strong technical background. Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Physics or Electrical Engineering with a concentration in a related field of study. Proficiency in computational physics and experience in software development for scientific applications. Knowledge of radar systems and radar scattering theory. Experience with numerical methods and validation techniques for complex physical systems. Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, MATLAB, or equivalent. Experience with data analysis and model validation Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Active DoD security clearance is a plus.
