PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO STUDENTS WHO WILL BE RETURNING NEXT SCHOOL YEAR AS A YEAR 2 STUDENT. General SummaryThis position's responsibilities are to assist PCSC instructors as a teacher assistant during summer school.Essential FunctionsDepending upon the individual assignment, the Summer School Student Intern may perform all or a combination of the following:Must be able to communicate effectively with studentsAssist instructor with lesson plans and help to prepare classroom appropriatelyLead small groups within the summer school programSupport instructor during class timePerforms related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the positionEnsures safety protocols are followed at all times and immediately reports any unsafe behavior to classroom instructorREPORTING RELATIONSHIPSReports to the Assistant Director of the Pierce County Skills Center.MENTAL DEMANDSRequired concentration and attention to detail.
