Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a reliable and passionate Dog Walker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in animal care, particularly in dog walking, and be comfortable with moderate physical activity. This role is perfect for those who love dogs and enjoy spending time outdoors. **Responsibilities:** - Walk and care for dogs of various breeds and sizes in a safe and responsible manner - Provide regular exercise and mental stimulation to dogs to promote their physical and emotional well-being - Administer medication or supplements as instructed by the pet owner - Clean up after the dog, including picking up after the dog's waste - Maintain a clean and organized environment while walking or caring for the dog - Follow pet owner instructions and maintain open communication - Handle dogs gently and securely during walking and handling - Provide training and socialization to dogs as needed - Monitor the health and behavior of dogs and report any concerns to the pet owner **Experience:** - At least 1 year of experience in dog walking or pet care - Experience with animal handling and restraint - Knowledge of animal behavior and body language - Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (e.g., pet food, leashes) - Experience with dog training and handling - Familiarity with pet care and veterinary procedures - Experience with pet sitting and overnight care - Ability to work independently and make responsible decisions - Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to customer service **Skills:** - Heavy lifting - Veterinary assistant - Veterinary knowledge - Pet care - Pet sitting - Animal restraint - Animal care - Animal handling - Dog training - Dog handling Job Type: Part-time Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 9 – 15 per week Benefits: Employee discount Flexible schedule Referral program Schedule: 4 hour shift Day shift Evenings as needed Overnight shift Rotating weekends Weekends as needed License/Certification: Driver's License (Preferred) Shift availability: Day Shift (Preferred) Night Shift (Preferred) Overnight Shift (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Brooklyn, NY (Required) Willingness to travel: 25% (Preferred) Work Location: In person
