Lead Trade Compliance Manager
The Lead Trade Compliance Manager helps ensure that the company adheres to international trade laws and regulations, including import and export compliance, managing trade programs, and staying up-to-date on changes in trade regulations.ResponsibilitiesImplementing and Maintaining Compliance Programs: Developing and implementing trade compliance programs to ensure adherence to all applicable import and export regulations.Staying Informed: Monitoring and staying current on changes to trade regulations and policies.Risk Assessment: Identifying and assessing potential trade compliance risks and developing mitigation strategies.Internal Training: Conducting training programs for employees on trade compliance policies and procedures.Recordkeeping: Maintaining accurate records of import and export transactions for audit purposes.Documentation Review: Reviewing and verifying the accuracy of import and export documentation.Working with Legal and Commercial Teams: Collaborating with legal and commercial teams on trade compliance matters.Audits and Investigations: Responding to inquiries from government agencies and participating in audits.Developing Policies and Procedures: Developing and updating trade compliance policies and procedures.Key Skills and QualificationsIn-depth Knowledge: A strong understanding of U.S. and international trade laws and regulations.Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in import and export compliance matters.Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and identify potential risks.Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve trade compliance issues.EducationEducation: A bachelor's degree is required.
