Performs proper specimen collection by confirming patient ID, collecting specimens in proper tubes, utilizing venipuncture/capillary techniques, and accurately labeling the specimens to ensure accurate patient results. Processes specimens appropriately for subsequent testing. Accessions, updates information and makes corrections to orders as needed.Job RequirementsEducationRequired: High School Diploma or EquivalentExperienceRequired: NonePreferred: 6 months phlebotomy experience OR 1 year related experienceSkillsStrong analytical/problem solving skillsAbility to communicate effectively with different levels of management.
