DSP (Direct Support Professional) Day Program (Millstone)

Friends of Cyrus (FOC) is currently looking for responsible, caring, and compassionate Full-Time, and Part Time, Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join our Day Habilitation team. Fantastic opportunity for professional growth, while making a difference! Higher wages! Experience with DDD regulations preferred. Prior Experience in working with adults with developmental disability at a Day Program or Residential Program in NJ is essential. Duties include, but are not limited to: - Supporting FOC program participants in their daily life with activities including, community outings, recreational events, cooking, personal care, and skill development - Transporting FOC program participants to their activities,events and places of employment - Administering and supervising medication to FOC program participants - Completing proper electronic documentation - Ensuring FOC program participants are safe, healthy, and engaged in meaningful ways Applicants must have: * patience and desire to be helpful and engaged with clients at all times during the program hours * able to follow direction and adapt to change in direction from supervisor and clinicians * have good verbal and written communication skills * a minimum of 1 year working with adults with developmental disability/Autism Ability to be creative and find new ways to create engagement for their assigned clients, is a plus FOC-DH offers career path and development opportunities for staff members who are interested in growing in this field and expanding their skills.
