Details Position is in a Neuro Critical Care Unit (Neuro ICU) at a large hospital Care for patients with severe brain injuries, stroke, brain tumors, and post-operative neurosurgical cases Rotating 12-hour shifts (7AM/7PM) with both day and night requirements Expectation to work 3 out of every 6 weekends On-call responsibilities required 2 times per 6-week schedule Floating as needed to units with similar skill sets including ICU and IMC Uses Epic as the electronic medical record system Requirements Active RN license in Maryland or a compact state Current BLS certification At least two years of neuro critical care nursing experience Experience in facilities with at least 500 beds Epic EMR experience required ACLS, Critical Care Certification, and trauma course are preferred Additional Information Responsible for monitoring and caring for neurologically complex and critically ill patients Will participate in specialized post-operative neurosurgical care and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams Orientation provided on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month Holiday coverage required as needed Locals accepted at the same rate except for certain facilities with radius restrictions American Traveler Job ID P-667867.
