EHS Engineer

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of employees and the environment, while also improving operational efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of environmental health and safety principles, as well as a passion for continuous improvement. Duties: - Design and implement comprehensive safety and health programs to minimize workplace risks. - Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. - Investigate and report on workplace incidents, recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrences. - Collaborate with facility managers to implement environmental health and safety improvements, including waste reduction and recycling initiatives. - Assemble and install industrial equipment, including welding and machining. - Conduct training sessions to educate employees on environmental health and safety procedures and protocols. - Perform quality control checks to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including GD&T. - Develop and implement safety procedures for robotics and other automated systems. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field. - ISO 14001 Certification - Proven experience in environmental health and safety, with a focus on industrial settings. - Strong understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations. - Experience with industrial equipment and processes, including welding and machining. - Experience with robotics and automated systems. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. - Certification in Environmental Health and Safety or a related field is preferred.
