Job Description
This candidate is primarily responsible for PLC and HMI programming to control and interface to our custom designed material handling equipment. Must be able to read and design electrical schematics including power, control and field wiring. Required to travel to customers’ facilities for electrical troubleshooting and commissioning of equipment.
Responsibilities
Create PLC programs using primarily Rockwell RSLogix and Siemens TIA Portal
Create HMI applications primarily using Rockwell FactoryTalk View and Siemens WinCC
Understand electrical power and control schematics
Understand field installation drawings
Work with and interface with internal project managers and external customers
Qualifications
Siemens TIA Portal and WinCC programming software
Rockwell RSLogix and FactoryTalk programming language
Associate’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related discipline from an accredited college and 2‑3 years of related work experience
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting aptitude
Strong organizational, planning, and leadership skills
Project management and analytical skills
Knowledge of pneumatics, including volumetric flow rate and pressure
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical design
Must be willing to travel up to 30% nationally and internationally and hold a valid US passport
Must live within a commutable distance to the office, located in Barberton, Ohio
Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to be insured
Must be able to pass a drug test, at pre‑employment and ongoing during employment
Experience: PLC programming 1 year (Required)
